"FIRST had no real history or foundation in Georgia when it was introduced to the region in September 2003. Anne understood FIRST's mission of inspiring today's youth and preparing them to be part of tomorrow's workforce, so she hit the ground running to bring the excitement of the Peachtree Regional FIRST Robotics Competition to news outlets in all corners of the state. We even had coverage in USA Today and, with 23 other Regional sites, Georgia was truly put on the national map. A good indication of her success in reaching the communities we hope to impact is the number of educators and students inquiring about participating in the program next year.
